Solid Wood & Plywood Siding

Solid wood is available in a wide variety of styles and shapes, including horizontal, vertical and bevelled. Solid wood siding will usually be installed over building paper and nailed through to the exterior wall studs. A vapour barrier is required beneath the wood siding to prevent condensation of vapour from within the house from causing the wood to rot, as always a water repellent treatment is highly recommended.

Supplied in a wide variety of wood and patterns at different costs. Considered very strong, and therefore is usually applied directly to the wall studs. Manufactured in 4-foot width and 8-12 foot lengths, if you choose plywood siding for your house, make sure you pick the length you need to reduce the number of horizontal joints, it will make the overall look of the house better.
