Windows Installation
It is very important to make sure windows are properly installed to avoid damages by moisture wind, rain, and other climate causes. Your installer should be reliable and must ensure that the rough opening for your window is level and well wrapped with house wrap.
The frame must be properly installed into the finished opening and the top must be flashed with a copper or aluminum cap to extend up under the siding to protect from leaking. Finally, the gap between the window frame and wall frame should be filled with a non-expanding approved insulation and caulked.
