AVAILABLE POSITIONS:
i) Carpenter/ Lead Hand
Carpenter/ Lead Hand required to start immediately, applicant must have broad carpentry/ renovation experience, be self-sufficient & work well with others.
Our company provides high end renovations as well as a range of construction management and general contracting services to local private and public sector clients in the GTA.
KEY DUTIES
Performs all aspects of renovation carpentry, both rough and finished carpentry and is inclusive of: framing and repairs, as well as new install or replace doors, hardware, windows, wall partitions, etc.
Fabricates, adjusts, repairs and replaces permanent and temporary wooden structures
New install or replace ceiling tile, drywall ceiling, floor covering, dry wall and wooden wall covering.
Prepare, erect and remove structural formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and shafts as follows: prefabrication of forms, erect scaffold and related support, set forms, strip and remove forms and install re-shoring
Operates woodworking machines such as bend saw, power saw, drills, etc.
Orders lumber, hardware, spare parts and accessories and maintain reasonable level of inventory to minimize completion time of the work orders
Keeping work area orderly, clean and safe.
Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 Diploma
Valid Ontario Carpentry Certificate or equivalent
Valid Ontario Drivers License
5 years of experience
Ability to read and interpret schematics, instruction and O&M manual
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Compensation
